Welcome To Challenge Day 3
Congratulations on making it here!
Today we will teach you how to create an Autoresponder email list in GetResponse.
What You Need To Know
There is a saying in the Internet Community, “…the money is in the list…” and as stated in an earlier lesson, the MAIN AIM of this 5-day challenge is to help you start building a list that you can market to over time.
“At this stage, you may feel overwhelmed. Relax, you are doing great. If you are unsure, feel free to revisit Day 1 and 2 to recap. Also, don’t forget – you can ask us questions on Facebook group ANYTIME during the process. We want you to succeed.”
Why email marketing????
Consumers Prefer Email!
The number one reason why email marketing is a no-brainer is that consumers prefer email.
Most consumers actually prefer to communicate with brands through email. The most probable reason is that it is permission-based. The people on your list actually signed up because they want to get updates from you. They’re interested in learning more about you including your promotions and discounts. And that alone makes email marketing such an effective strategy to reach your consumers.
In fact, one 2019 study from Marketing Sherpa reports that 72% of consumers prefer to receive promotional messages through email.
If you follow this model and focus on building your email list, your list WILL become your most valuable asset in your business, period.
And we are going to set up a very specific form of email marketing. We are going to AUTOMATE it by making use of Getresponse’s Autoresponder feature.
An autoresponder allows you to send out a sequence of emails to a group, or to several different groups of people automatically. Once someone has signed up to receive emails from you, they get added to a series of Autoresponder emails that will educate them further on the product or service you are promoting.
You set up the email sequence once and the sending process is automatic based on the schedule you set it as. Getresponse is PERFECT for this.
In fact, we are running this 5-day challenge by using our Getresponse Autoresponder!
Using autoresponder email in this way is an astonishingly effective way to communicate with your customers!
Here are some of the things that autoresponders can do for you:
- Get a higher response from your audience: Autoresponder emails often get more than double the open rate of standard marketing emails as the emails are sent instantly in response to a customer’s action. For example, a ‘Your order has been dispatched’ email for an online purchase.
- Save you time by automating: You don’t need to manually send the email after a transaction is made. The emails can be automatically sent when a certain action is carried out. For example, filling in a web form, updating a profile or unsubscribing.
- Engage your audience: Customers are much more engaged with you when they receive a transactional email. Therefore, this is a good time to get important messages across, such as: directing them back to your website, blog, or social media sites. Just make sure the main message in the email is confirming their transaction.
- Create a good impression: As the engagement level is high upon receipt of your autoresponder, this is a perfect opportunity for you to impress your audience by ‘surprising and delighting’ them so they continue to anticipate emails from you in the future. For example, reward them with free shipping on their next purchase; offer a discount or a free e-book.
- Make you look fabulous! By setting up relevant transactional emails you can really communicate your brand and personality through to your customers. For example, a newsletter confirmation subject line could be changed from ‘Thanks for subscribing’ to ‘You made it into our special club – yeehah!!’
Ok, now that you know how important owning an email list is and how you can use Autoresponders to automate your email marketing we can continue with today’s tasks.
“If you’ve reached this point, you are further than 60% of everyone who started. Keep going, you are almost there. And if you need help, just ask on the Facebook group and we will gladly help you.”
So today is all about this part of the funnel :
Step 1: Download the following series of emails (in text format). Open in Notepad.
You will find them numbered and in sequence. They will educate your prospect towards using sales funnels to make more sales, continuing on the topic of the video we selected yesterday. (your prospect is interested in learning how to use sales funnels to sell more of his products)
Feel free to edit these emails to suit you.
URL = website address (http://www.website.com)
In the emails, you will find place holders for “your getresponse affiliate URL here” and “your name here”. Replace “your name here” with …. your name.
Next, find your Getresponse Affiliate URL.
Note the text after the ?a= part of the URL.
This is your unique affiliate code.
Now take your unique affiliate code after the ?a= and use the following URL in your emails: https://www.getresponse.com/features/autofunnel?a=XXXXX . Replace the XXXX with the bit of text you will find in your affiliate URL after the ?a= .
This will take your visitor directly to Getresponse’s Auto Funnel pages which will tell them more about the features and benefits of signing up for the specific feature of Getresponse.
Replace all instances of “your getresponse affiliate URL here” with this new URL.
Step 2: Sign in to your Getresponse main account.
Navigate to MENU > AUTORESPONDERS and click on the CREATE NEW button. https://app.getresponse.com/autoresponders/manage
Now watch the video below and follow the steps to set up your Autoresponder inside your GetResponse account.
Now use the series of 5 emails provided above to set up your email autoresponders.
